IT'S MY BIRTHDAY

I'M FINALLY 21!!!! What a weekend of festivities! Although only a few brave souls made it out on Sunday night, anticipation for tonight is quite high. Having my parents here and my best friend from highschool definitely was the icing on the cake. Even though a few people have yet to say happy birthday (ahem Williams). Here's hoping that I live to see tomorrow!!

Close your eyes....

And imagine that Ali will finally be 21!!!!! Now don't hold your breath because I've been waiting for this day since I was like 16 and got my first fake and I kinda don't think I'm actually going to turn 21. I think the birthday gods will accidently turn my age back a year so that people can go through another year of 'oh my god you're so young!' I know how much everyone else enjoys that! Either way, in exactly one week, Jenna and I have the same birthday and will be having a ridiculous weekend so come. Near, far, wherever you are. Come to the Barn.

Never enough time

So the infamous birthday is in a week and a day (Sept. 25th). Jenna's is the same day and needless to say, it should be a pretty ridiculous weekend if I have my way. Plans include my parents coming into town for 2 days to buy me and my friends dinner and drinks, my best friend from home is flying out here from DC, dinner at the Gritty on our birthday, perhaps a little shopping and the idea was brought up last night to maybe go paintballing on Saturday.

Pretty effing sweet. I'm just excited to finally be legal like the rest of my friends. The one problem is that I'm already a teens bit behind with my reading and I definitely will need to be ahead if I am going to party like a rockstar next week. If anyone else wants to come out for the celebration... you know you can find us on the porch!

BAM

Crazy week of AIESEC. Good, but exhausting.
Firstly, our new trainee came in from Jordan and he is super interesting. So far I've really enjoyed talking with him, hearing about his family/culture/country/religion, showing him around Madison and all that good stuff!
Then, Jill and Joe were here to hang out with the LC and do fun stuff like that. Jill even attended our student org fair which we ended up with 300 people interested! Coincidence? I think not.
Other fairs, first GMM, etc.
International Carnival today was AWESOME! Incredible work by Katy and everyone else that had a table and made the event awesome. Although carrying 30 table up to the 5th floor of the Union was not my definition of a happy ending. Oh well.
Tonight- dinner at the Nitty Gritty as a welcome dinner for Thiker and Javier (our AIESECer from Madrid who is studying at Madison). The good times promise to roll.

Welcome back

First day of classes and I'm up super early for the cable/internet guy. Highly debating going back to bed and just skipping my first class. Long night last night. We'll see what I decide. Plus it's a super busy week since recruitment is getting jump started, Jill is here tonight and I start work this week, oh and we have a new trainee coming tonite! All in all, things are pretty exciting, but I kinda want to sleep.

The Bar(n)

So the Barn might have been renamed to the Bar- with specific reference to the porch. Regardless of any name changes, this is gonna be trouble with a capital T. Adam so kindly brought his Playstation 2 to be hooked up to our TV and I then had the brilliant idea to buy Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Fault. Needless to say, the house has been utterly unproductive excpet a grocery trip and a run or two. All you hear in the house right now is gun shots, sirens and one of yes yelling, 'Dammnn, he got a shovel!' I might just be a little nervous as to the future of my well being...
